Dr. Sifford embodied a competitive spirit and the ability to see past the naysayers. With a dedication to family, smooth golf swing and desire to win, he became the first person of color to obtain a Professional Golfers Associations players card while amassing numerous victories and honors.
Charlie Sifford was a trailblazer in the world of golf, the Jackie Robinson of the sport.
